[/u] Her friend, Annie, had been trying to talk to her for days, confused as to why Devon wouldn’t give her the time of day. And this time was no different. Her cold brown eyes looked at her once before her eyes connected with Annie’s and she just stared at her. The words she longed to say, the words that would tell her about her betrayal and the hurt inside of Devon, those words just wouldn’t come to her. It hurt still, and so she just kept her mouth shut.
NAME:
devon marie andrews
AGE:
twenty
GENDER:
female
DESCRIPTION:
Devon’s name is about the only boyish quality she has. She had such amazing curves in just the right places. She is not too tall, but is not short either. Naturally she is five eight, but she constantly wears heels that make her about two inches taller. Her arms and legs are a bit athletic, but not in a bad way. Back in high school she was a cheerleader and it really toned her up and kept her in shape.
Her hair is a gorgeous golden blonde color that reaches down to just below her chest. It is wavy, not curly, yet a lot of the time she flat irons it straight.
One of her favorite things about herself, besides her C chest, is her eyes. They’re deep and a chocolate color, yet soft and welcoming. Her eyes truly are the window to her soul, because every emotion that she feels is clearly shown through them.
Her face is and oval shape, with high cheek bones and a soft jaw line. Her nose is straight and curves up just slightly at the end.
Her skin tone is an olive color. She can never really hold a tan, but with her hair color, she doesn’t really want one. Plus, it’s not like she’s pale anyway.
PERSONALITY:
With Devon, what you see is exactly what you get. She’s upfront, she’s loud, she’s outgoing. Whatever is on her mind, she says. Most of the time, she doesn’t even think before she says something, which does seem to get her into trouble a bit. But for the most part, people love her for it. They love how open and honest she is with everyone and easily lets people in. Not all the way in, though. Just in. Her heart is closed off to anyone who tries to get in it. On countless occasions, Devon would try to give her heart away, and succeed, but then it would be shattered into a million little pieces. So she just decided to stop putting it out there to be broken. Although, she still has hope that someone will come along and she does sometimes give it away.
What else is there to say about Miss. Devon? Oh, yes, the fact that she can be a horrible bitch would be something. She’s sweet, yeah, but nowhere near afraid of getting mean. Rudeness is a different story, she’s never rude, but hurtful she is. She finds actually fighting tacky, so she does all her fighting with words and freezing people out. In fact, when her ex cheated on her in high school, she not only froze him out but started the rumor that his pride and joy was a little less than everyone imagined. Not too bad, but harsh in guy world.
She’s also a bit promiscuous. Because of that whole, fear of breaking her heart thing, she just moves from guy to guy not really caring. Devon sees a hot male, and just goes for it. She’s a charmer and flirt and a tease, so usually she gets her way.
HISTORY:
» Devon was born to Michelle and Steven Andrews in May of 1986 in a small South Carolina hospital. Michelle was a lawyer turned stay at home mommy, ready and willing to give up the legal field for her newborn baby girl. Steven was a writer turned workaholic. He wasn’t a newspaper writer, or book author, but a script writer. The couple already had a good deal of money, but he went into overdrive when the news of their daughter came. He was in love with her before she was even born, and wanted her to have a better life than he had growing up. Even if it meant he hardly saw her.
» At age 10, she went with her father to work. He felt guilty for missing her birthday party and so he took her onto the set of one of the movies he had written for. She was awestruck by it all, even at ten years old she saw the magic behind movies. Devon wandered off from her dad, and met a young actor in the movie. He took her around the set more, showing her things that made her love the movie star life. It was on that day that she fell in love with acting.
» She started to act then, and continued with it on into high school. Her acting got her popularity in this small public school. With popularity came friends and boyfriends, two things that Devon loved. Especially when one of the boyfriends was David Miller. He was everything she loved. Sweet, kind, funny, a gentlemen, and captain of the football team. She was in love with him and gave him her virginity at age sixteen.
» After rehearsal for her last play got out early, she walked out to meet David with a surprise. Only it was her who got the surprise when she saw him making out, and more, with one of her best friends. Immediately, she stormed away, neither knowing that she had seen a thing. She froze them both out, feeling nothing but hurt by them. She trusted them both and gave her heart to David, only to have him stomp on it and break it into pieces.
» She got over him, after a few rumors, and moved on. High school ended and she graduated third in her class, and happy with the acting scholarship to NYU. Too bad it wouldn’t happen. Her mother got into a car accident on her way home from the graduation party and died a few hours later in the ER. Devon and her father were devastated. Her mother was her rock and her sanity. She was her best friend and now that she was gone Devon didn’t know how to cope.
» After the funeral, the will was read. Devon was eighteen and her mother had left her some pretty big things. It turned out that her parents were planning on divorcing, their assets were already divided and everything her mother got, Devon inherited, including a home in the Bahamas. Feeling hurt by her father’s choice to keep it all a secret from her, Devon tossed her scholarship out the window and packed all of her belongings, moving to the house to start all over again.

SAMPLE POST:
Her eyes were blank. Her face was blank. Her mind was blank. It was normal for the young, bubbly, blonde to be excited for a play. Everyone was pumped, the props were amazing, the cast was amazing, and she had the lead. But right now, all she wanted to do was run and hide. It had been weeks since she had broken up with her boyfriend. Weeks that should have let Devon get over him, not feel like an idiot for driving him away. Those were the words he used. She drove him away by not caring enough. She drove him away by not sleeping with him every night, is what he meant to say.
It angered her now. Made her sick. How dare he. How dare he say she didn’t care enough, after he cheated on her. Which he still had no idea about. Neither he or her friend know about that. Speak of the devil. “Dev, ohmigosh! Five minutes, how’s the costume?”
Silently, Devon walked away. Normally it would kill her to see the bright smile on Annie’s face drop and her eyes start to water with confusion. Normally. But this was not normally. Her trust was shattered, her heart along with it, and she couldn’t, wouldn’t, forgive it. Not even if she had once loved both of them. What did kill her was that she was different. She would have once told her to Fuck off, and that she should try to hang out with girls who were a little more like her. Like the loose kind. But she couldn't do it.
Cheaters never made much sense. If you love someone, you gotta stick by them. No matter what. Obviously, David never loved her, she saw that. But her friend of ten years, from first grade until senior year, she thought that she had so much more respect for Devon than to go behind her back with her boyfriend, but she was wrong. The director came rushing through, a nervous look about her as she called out two minutes. It was time to just let it go. Just let go of Devon Andrews for the night and take on the character.
Her problems left her, her thoughts cares and worries just left. This was the best part about acting. For one night, and for many more performances, she left herself behind. The world of high school just left her and she walked into whatever character she needed to be. It was the best feeling to just forget for two hours what happened with your friends, your parents, your classes, and just live someone else’s life, knowing you’d be back soon.
For the first time in what seemed like years, she smiled and brought her character to life as she stepped on the stage. “What are you boys up to now?” An amused yet serious expression played on her face as she delivered her line. For tonight, nothing else mattered. All she had to do was act.
