NAME, Lyndsee Belle Lockhart. AGE, Twenty years young. GENDER, Female.
DESCRIPTION: With intelligent brown eyes, and a glossy brunette locks; Lyndsee Lockhart is quite the fetching young woman. Lyndsee is a pretty girl; gorgeous even, but to some not even the slightest bit interesting for a second glance. Being attractive is nothing to hate, but when it's all you've become it can be. Like, you're not smart, talented, just attractive. She has a bright smile, which she’ll happily display almost any time, any where, and a delicate giggle to match. Lyndsee’s eyes are a dark brown in colour, a rich chocolate colour. Her hair is very similar, except a lighter shade of brown. It reaches down just below her shoulder blades, and is shaped and styled with layers and a fringe running down the side of her face. She has an oval shaped face, with perfectly sculptured features to even it out, but there is no in between. There never is with Lyndsee. She wears her hair out, more then up, and is either envied or hated by her peers.
Lyndsee prides her figure, and will definitely show it off with clothing almost inappropriate for her age. She has a desired hour glass frame, with curves in all the right places, as they say. Lyndsee doesn’t exactly lack in chest, but compared to some other girls she does, she's just no Pamela Anderson. It's never been a concern, since she is vividly femininely built. The brunette is very petite, standing just over five foot, and weighing a little less than one hundred pounds. She looks like she’ll shatter if she’s not handled with care. And in emotional ways and physical ways; she obviously won’t. She’s short and slightly under weight, but not he model kind of under weight – she was always bullied as a child for being so vertically challenged. But Lyndsee was the one to have the last laugh. She's captivating; a characteristic she'd always had. Her beauty or her attitude, she’s just one to be remembered.
Her clothing style cannot be properly organised. She usually prefers simplicity so pulls something from her closet that possibly fits, and reveals a stunning outfit. That’s what they call natural fashion sense. She swings from casual to formal, from brand name to vintage – she can’t make up her mind. What ever is flattering, pretty and in her size; she’ll wear it. Just like most high school girls, she’s got a large wardrobe, and gets sick of her choice fairly quickly, so it’s not a surprise she’s always keen on shopping, and to take advantage of her inherited wealth. She doesn’t wear a lot of make up. Luckily for her she’s always had a clean, fresh face without the need to cover up acne or most imperfections on her face, but naturally she struggled with it at some point. She’s not over the top, because she’s over all happy with herself and assumes she always will be.
PERSONALITY: She can’t be described in one word, several words maybe, but it’s a bit hard to keep up with. Just like any other, regular girl, she’s fairly dramatic. Even the smallest situations, like forgetting a text book or her friends sitting with some one else; is blown up out of proportion if Lyndsee is involved. With a sharp tongue, and a quick witted nature; Lyndsee’s not exactly the best at holding conversations. She’s intelligent, which helps in most cases but other then that, she either makes a rude comment or mentions something completely inappropriate. Unlike most of her social partners, she’s a friendly young woman. She pities people, and is a big softy for baby animals or people in pain. But being as stubborn as she is, they have to come to her, not the other way around.
Because of her history, she has a constant yearning for the opposite sex to notice her. Even if that includes selfish flings and one night stands with complete strangers. Cutting to the chase, Lyndsee’s just a big slut in the most casual way of putting it. She’s gotten used to such a life style, and it’s become an every day chore to her now. Lyndsee’s been known for sleeping around since she was fourteen years old, and hasn’t grown out of it yet; if not, gotten even worse. She tends to be the last one to make a move, since she isn’t going to humiliate herself. Lyndsee isn’t perverted, or obsessed, she sees it more of a need to please men. Lyndsee quickly becomes a men’s instant bed mate, before becoming a stranger even quicker. She doesn’t like knowing men she’s slept with for very long after wards – they all see her as dirty and useless and it doesn’t do wonders for her self esteem.
She doesn’t get close, long term relationships and commitment couldn’t be any scarier. Even though she’s terrified of spiders; that tops the list without a second thought. Despite her brief relationships with men, she’s a very loyal friend. To her friends, Lyndsee spends hours with them at a time, which includes anything from studying to partying, and it never stops there. She feels secure with her a group of friends, which means she keeps them close. Her self confidence relies on that. As well as exposing her figure in revealing clothing and keeping her hair top shape; but having girl friends is her top priority most of the time. But to the people who really know her, she has always been ‘the nice one with a pretty smile.’ Not that she’s complaining, or anything.
Lyndsee is just a nice person. Not in the perfect kind of way, but she’s a relatively friendly person. The kind of person who would help another feeling down. She’s easy to get along with, to put it in short. She would return calls, and acknowledge your existence, and lift you up when you’re feeling low, but she doesn’t invest much emotion into things. She doesn’t want to lose them; which is why on her off days she’s naturally snappy. She’s only human. But she can be incredibly funny at times too. She has quite the sense of humour, and when ever in the neighbourhood of insecurity, she’ll find some way to lighten it with a joke. Not the knock-knock kind of joke, but something blithe and something to giggle at. Giggle is Lyndsee’s middle name.
Lyndsee’s not just the popular, optimistic kind of person; she has a lot of flaws. She’s real. Which means she has errors in her system; such as being stubborn, hypocritical and blunt. If there is a goal ahead of her, absolutely anything, she’ll get it one way or another. She’s persistent and bossy, and even if it means being manipulative – Lyndsee gets her way. She also might do something wrong, and criticise some one else for doing the same thing. But like mentioned before, it’s her way or the high way and Lyndsee was always correct. Blunt; she’s forward, and almost in the annoying kind of way. She doesn’t think things she doesn’t say, and even if she stays silent, that’s on very, very rare occasions. She doesn’t see anything wrong with being straight forward. She gets to the points and cuts the dawdling.
Lyndsee is more then just a pretty face. Much, much more. She grew up with very distant parents. She was never shown affection, or shown appreciation, so she adapted to that and became an untouchable, unreachable person. Nothing gets to her. Not even expressing how much in love you were with her, she’ll shrug you off and toss you over her shoulder. She really just doesn’t care any more; it’s just words to her. But that sounds like she’s totally selfish and has things around her rules. Not true. Lyndsee can have friends. She can juggle hundreds of friends at a time and does a damn good job at it; she can have a lover too, if she felt like it. But she’d just end up cheating and disappoint some one. But if you really want the finer details; you’ll just have to find out yourself.
HISTORY: Belle Lockhart had a regular child hood; with hopes and dreams of a fairy tale romance and having lots of healthy children who were all inspired to become the world’s next leaders. She held dolls to her chest and pretended to rock them to sleep, plucking the plastic baby from the cradle and stuffed a fake bottle to their mouths. She never dreamed of the day that might be Lyndsee; except even the most simple fantasy was never relived in real life. But she was a bright, perky kid. Went to school, got good grades and impressed her parents with her talents and skills. She was quite the adorable little girl; who grew into a gorgeous young woman. Her bright smile, and alert blue eyes; it all seemed to change when her parents died in a plane accident, leaving her the sole survivor.
The day Belle conceived Lyndsee; it was just like any day. Leading up to that moment, she was a sad and lonely woman. She was cold and bitter, she didn’t socialise much. She just never seemed to be in the mood. Belle worked as a receptionist, it wasn’t worth much but it paid for the roof over her head and the food at the table. She dropped out of school at sixteen, since she was never going to live up to much any way. She was already coping with living on her own, and the loss of her parents and her grand parents, who had cared for her since their death. Everything seemed to have gone off course, like the train tracks of her life were severely damaged. She managed to crack a smile at the New Year party her work mates held at the office. They all partied, with alcohol and loud music.
Belle was so lonely. The only people who would ever hold a conversation with her any more were her dogs, and they weren’t even human. So when the opposite gender decided to pay attention to the shy girl; you can imagine how that panned out. She giggled and batted her eye lashes, and flirted her way to the back seat of his car. They had meaningless, no strings attached sex where she fell pregnant to her accident child, Lyndsee. Belle kept her daughter a secret, since she knew if the father found out, he’d be mad. She continued ignoring him while she passed him during work hours, and eventually quit her job because she was starting her show, her stomach growing larger and larger every day. She didn’t want any one to know. But she wanted to have this baby; she needed some one’s company.
The day of Lyndsee’s birth, she was surrounded by her aunt’s family. Which was small. But she appreciated having any one there at all. The room was filled with flashes from cameras and the flash of light refecting on the few balloons with something along the lines of ‘congratulations on the new baby girl!’ Holding the baby girl in her arms, her care free spark in her eyes and pessimistic whines coming from her lips, still choking on the liquid in her throat. Every one who knew about the baby had high hopes for both the young mother and the child, Belle only being seventeen at the time. Lyndsee’s pale, weak arms waved in the air, tugging on Belle’s hair and clinging to her own fingers, life was good. But it never stayed that way. From day one life showed its true colours and how cruel it really could be.
Belle brought Lyndsee home to the beat up apartment in the middle of the polluted city in Florida. She cared for her the best she could, she was like a new puppy to her. She checked on her twenty four seven, even falling asleep leaning into the cradle at times. Lyndsee was a fairly quiet child, and didn’t cry much during the night. She was almost too good to be true at that age. She was nothing to complain about, and definitely some one who deserved to be shown off in the world. But during her first two years of her life, she never got out of the house. She stayed inside the apartment, growing fonder of the dogs and living inside. Since she never knew much different. Belle had been raising Newfoundlands, and had now stuffed four into an apartment room along with her daughter.
It was not until she was seven, did she really realise how lonely her and her mother were. Belle had gotten a new job, this time as an assistant. A job she was entirely not qualified for; even the entire office knew the only reason she was hired because she was so appealing to the person she was assisting. Travis Bond; the most hated person alive in her eyes. He was sarcastic, bitter, and nasty. He was a terrible person, and she lost count how many times she crawled into her mother’s bed in tears, begging her to leave him. Even if she was strapped for cash and not the most feminine woman alive, she still deserved some one better. She was only twenty four and already romantically involved with a thirty nine year old man. It wasn’t right, she had changed, and she was hardly around any more.
Lyndsee was similar to her mother at her age, she was intelligent, and had dreams of her own. She’d always wanted to be a veterinarian. She loved animals, and had a serious dedication to every species in the world. When most little girls asked for dolls for their birthdays, Lyndsee asked for baby tigers, and when she got a duckling for Christmas, it was the greatest present to this day. (Even though when it grew, it was left at the local lake.) But her early teen years were her down fall, and she left her mother in the back burner. If she wasn’t convinced she shouldn’t be with him; then screw it. Lyndsee just… gave up. She didn’t give up on a lot of things, but convincing her mother to dump him was easier said then done. They both had a very hot head on their shoulders, both just as stubborn.
She’d never forget the moment her mother declared her engagement. It was hard to shake off a life changing moment, and she still carries it around with her now. Even though she was thirteen. It was late, about one in the morning and Lyndsee had stayed up waiting for Belle to come home from a date with Travis. She was laying her legs out in front of her, her head tilted and focusing on the television. She had the three of the dogs on either side of her, equally enjoying the peace. The giggles and the high pitched chatter didn’t even distract her, since the city’s ambience was usually like that. But the Newfoundlands rushed to the door in an opposite toned barks, each one of them in turn for making a nuisance, and tearing Lyndsee’s gaze off of the television. She could see from the reflection at the window, it was Belle, her mother.
She got up, and approached the door with a grin on her face, eager for her mum to return. The door was unlocked, and the dogs ran rings around her in joy of seeing her too, Lyndsee preparing to hug her, until she screwed her face up in concern; her breath reeked of alcohol and even her clothes. “Travis proposed! We’re getting married!” Lyndsee froze; repeating each word silently to herself, and quietly broke down. The last thing on earth she wanted to happen was to have this man in her life. She hated him, despised him, and wanted him dead. He was unnecessarily bitter towards her, and her own mother didn’t have a back bone so she couldn’t stick up for her. No, never. Not in the risk of harming her fiancé’s feelings. He’d beat her up or something. They both knew he had a violent side.
Eventually, she got over it. Or at least that’s what she wanted everyone to think. Lyndsee was already distant enough to her friends, she got worse. Travis packed up the apartment, and moved Lyndsee, Belle and the dogs to his large, spacey home in California. It was nice there. She had good friends, a good school, expensive clothes, a bigger room, and every thing a teenager would ever want. Travis was big-shot flashy lawyer, a steady job where money was just dropped in his lap. Which was why Belle loved him. She’d even admitted that she didn’t care about Travis like she should, and like her wedding vows said she was. According to Belle; the only reason she married him was so that Lyndsee could grow up in a better lifestyle. So she could get proper education and be happy. But money doesn’t buy happiness, as she soon found out.
She also inherited new step brothers. Tyler and Adam. They weren’t the nicest couple of boys. Instantaneously, they judged her unwilling to be their sister. So they gave her a bad name at school, she was the ‘outcast’, the ‘loner’ at school because of her step brothers. They’d spread rumours about her, petty, silly things like she was diseased and ate people alive. But it was the little things that made her cry at night. Which was why she needed attention; her parents were never affectionate. Lyndsee had never met her real father and Travis wasn’t much of a dad at all. He was either at work, or at home bullying and her shunning her out of the family. He’d even lock her in her room, and force her to tidy the house. Which he’d call ‘helping the maid’ when she was more then required to do it herself.
At fourteen, she had matured. She developed into a woman; she wasn’t a little girl any more. The more she took advantage of her new body, the more she discovered how easily men were enchanted with it. It was a very exciting time in her life, where she started going to parties and hanging out with the wrong crowd. They’d gotten her to try drugs and under aged drinking, and eventually she had become so desperate for male attention, she eventually gave into unprotected sex. Lyndsee became quite the promiscuous young lady and developed herself a reputation. It was such a good feeling to be shown you were needed, wanted and desired. Like she meant something, like she was worth something to some one. It was so appreciated to have some one keep her company, even if they never saw her again.
She had become the ‘bad girl’, the one who every boy went to when they were looking for extra attention. Because every one knew, especially herself, she was more then happy to give it to them. It became an insult some times. By the time it got so bad that it ended up being a regular slogan of hers, ‘I put out on the first date’ it wasn’t an exactly flattering thing to be trade marked with. But she put up with it. That’s Lyndsee for you. People pleaser twenty four seven. This became a life style, alcohol, sex, parties but minus the drugs, it was every Friday and Saturday night. Even during the week, because the people she hung out with never cared about school, so neither did she. Anything to fit in. Anything to receive the benefits of tolerating these things.
When she was fifteen, Lyndsee got very sick. She couldn’t keep any meal down, and just felt very off every day. So when she went to the doctors, she was told she could be pregnant. It wasn’t such a shocker. Not to anyone. But maybe to Lyndsee. Pregnancy never crossed her mind, but seeing as she was born when her mother was a very young girl, she turned out okay. So this kid should too. The dramatic change in life made Lyndsee rethink things. And by the time Travis had gotten a hold of the tests, which were proven negative, he hid it from Lyndsee and organised for her to leave, and go somewhere else to further her education, or bring up the nonexistent kid somewhere else. He had finally gotten the chance to get rid of her, and he wasn’t letting it slip through his fingers.
When by the time Lyndsee had seen the tests, taken it from his desk’s top drawer, it was too late. It had already been organised for her to leave home, but she was too relieved to feel any anger. Belle just stood there and felt sorry for herself the day she left, not even a ‘sorry’, or a ‘I love you, forgive me’ just some pain in the ass expression on her face. Even her step brothers couldn’t care less. Actually glad to have the tramp out of their house and off their backs. But Lyndsee doesn’t learn her lesson, not easily any way. She’s still the pessimistic, sleep around little whore she always was. Even though there is a big chance a pregnancy risk was fate’s way of telling her to wake up and straighten out. But Lyndsee doesn’t give in that easily.
Lyndsee happily attended boarding school for several years; she made friends, made enemies, even fell in love a few times so her couple of years there were good years. Her boy friend of two years, Jace, left school with her before graduations as Lyndsee was too pregnant to attend school any more. She brought Honey, her golden haired little girl into the world when she was barely seventeen. Jace bought her a respectable apartment to raise their child in; he worked hard to bring home enough money for the second hungry mouth to feed. He did a good job, and Lyndsee appreciated him for that. After a while as you might have suspected, the spark in their relationship seemed to dim. Sex wasn’t exciting and the feeling of each other’s touch didn’t feel the same.
It wasn’t until a year later, and Honey had celebrated her first birthday a few months earlier did Lyndsee get knocked up again but Jace couldn’t support this kid. They fell out of love with each other and stayed together for the child, but Jace wasn’t strong enough to remain in a loveless relationship with Lyndsee, and with another child. So they broke up. He let her keep the apartment but put it up for rent and looked for somewhere else to live, she moved away from Massachusetts to her new home somewhere she thought would be safe to bring up her precious children, the little girls mean a lot to her and she wouldn’t trade them in for the world. She’d move mountains to protect them, so consider this her first protection job. MODEL: Rachel Bilson.
SAMPLE POST: She was fully aware of the setting sun. Had been for a while now, but it wasn’t dark enough for her to get the hint she should start leaving before the sun entirely set, and she’d walk home in the dark. But she had her massive guard dog by her side, so she wasn’t too concerned about that. Fascinating process, sunset. How the sky can go from a bright blue to pinks, purples and oranges. It amazed her. People should pay more attention to the sunset. It was definitely something to stare up at, especially when the motioning colours were changing. It was rather noticeable how the clouds seemed to all flock in one direction, fluttering through the sky as the new found chilly breeze pushed it that way. The same breeze ruffled her hair from her shoulders.
She leaned back in her chair, the expected squeak noise following her movement. She tilted her skull back, so far back that her dark mane had dropped from her dainty shoulders. She seemed to be almost daydreaming up at the sky. Too bad she wasn’t a talented photographer or artist; she’d like something to capture this so she could admire it even after it was gone, which would be in ten minutes or so. Kind of sad, how she’d spent this entire twenty minutes nursing the cold drink and she wasn’t even almost done yet. Her fingertips readjusted on the pale blue lead, which was being tugged on every minute or so, Bear’s way of telling her he was tired, slash hungry. Usually both. But she ignored him, and instead briefly glanced down every time.
Today was like any other day. Nothing special. Exactly the same. She’d gotten up, spent half an hour in the mirror and fussing with her hair, double checking she had everything, including her books and holding a brief conversation with one of her friends before class. She sat in the near back row of every class so she could focus more on chatting then learning, and returned back to her dormitory, to visit her faithful canine always waiting for her back inside. Every one had their time alone. And Lyndsee’s way of escaping the plastic people and her expected behaviour she was growing sick of every day – was a walk. And this time, was to the sugary drink shack that she hadn’t been to in a while. It reminded her of a lot of things.
She’d first seen Amber here, her beloved partner in crime. The one who knew each and every detail about her. They could map each other’s scars, Lyndsee still knew where every one of her freckles were, every fault and every flaw. It was hard not to after seeing her twenty four seven every day since you were eleven. She was there for her when she was on the wrong side of the tracks; she picked her up when she was feeling down. She’d gone back to California, her mother was ill. That woman was like a second mother to her, too. She was always so welcoming and generous, she’d like to see her, but she was in school. You can’t pack up and leave like that. She came here with Casey nearly every day on the way to classes too. Things had changed, since.
Interrupting her idle thoughts, Bear barked rather loudly at the group of birds which were now bursting from the lithosphere in fear of the Newfoundland attacking them or something. Exhaling a breath, Lyndsee looked away from the sky. Making a mental note to look at it more often, it was almost comforting. It didn’t judge her, it didn’t criticize her, it didn’t complain, it didn’t whine. But then she thought of how stupid it was to compare a sky to reality. Leaning forward, she propped the half full, icy drink on the table, and stroked Bear’s skull, which was a bad form of scolding, she was encouraging the behaviour. But Lyndsee didn’t have to heart to hit or physically hurt him, or even talk to him in that tone people did. But she could still pick on people. Ironic.
